Tea anyone??

Do you want so tea??

This icky winter weather is getting annoying..I told it to go..bye bye..but of course..not listening...

Lately I have been in the barn working on my book..but when it starts to aggravate me, I need something else to go and work on..and I just didnt know what to do...theres always the same oh same oh..but I wanted something to make this winter seem not so boring..Then I found my teacups.. Before I knew it I was cutting them up..gluing, and busted out the treasure goodies.. and then this is what I came up with..

              

  I love them! And how fun they are! ..If you dont know..I love love love my tea cups! I have been collecting them since I dont know when..And now you can use them more then just drinking out of..

 So they are half of a tea cup, added to a lovely plate, which makes them useful in so many ways.

 You could use them in your office to add a more charming, loving touch..they can hold really anything..from pens, pencils, too your cell phone... BUT are also The prefect touch for the home..for some ideas, you can put them in the kitchen to hold keys, this and that small stuff..to the living/dinning room, too the bedroom, to the bathroom..they can hold soaps, razors, rings, earrings, necklaces..makeup, toothpaste, floss, tooth brushes..even incense for them stinky husbands or kids..you know what I mean.. : D  

They can hold plants also..so great for the inside of home and the outside as well..I can already see some all over the barn : D 

One of my favs and just loved how it turned out..I think my cousin Beth was going to run off with it LOL

They are just so great and add such that sweet touch. And I had to add all of the Marie touches to them, to make them really POP out with all the pretty treasure pieces.. to make one of a kind.. Either a way to treat yourself with a lovely piece of bohemian chic or pass it on as a gift they wont forget. Too the ones who love to collect plates..what do you think bout this plate?? I have so much fun making these..and I love everyone of them..

New things!!

So lately I have been up to some writing! I have been writing up directions to the pattern of my new dolls that I have been making.... .. heres what im thinking for the look and style..

 

I want the book to be something fun and different from the other books that you see. This is just one of the pages. I have had fun making this book! It has detailed directions from head to toe of how to make the new dolls. They are kid friendly and just fun to make. You can make that personal doll for a friend, family member, or even for yourself. 

I thought that this would be something good and fun and something new for me too.

This is the doll that is in the book and what you will be making. And just think she would be your own. : ) Something you can say..hey, I made this ; ) The dresses are change able so you could even make different dresses for your doll! How cute right!?! What do you think? Would you get the book?

This ICKY Weather!

  Ohhh what a long winter it has been and sadly its not even over. I'm not a fan of winter and its coldness, its been bad around here. Schools have been shut down to negative weather even stores. I don't think I have ever been around -40 before! Its definitely not Florida weather!! But off with the icky Illinois weather... 

    On the Other hand. Been spending a lot of family and friend time (and all nice and warm next to the fire and of course while spinning) I have been doing a lot of working and playing in the barn. (mostly playing)..I want to try new things for this coming year and boy do I have some interesting things happening in my mind : ) Gotta get ready right? When it comes to Playing and trying new things out is what I like to do! I like to see where I can take myself and what I can do with my art projects..I have been adding some new stuff to my Esty Site too.. (some pictures down below) and I must say it has been so awesome, because I Just hit 12,645 favorites I got so excited and I still m!! 2013 has been really great for me and the shop and I must say thank you thank you! If it wasn't for you guys it wouldn't happen! So on that note lets add some cool pics of whats been going on and some details..                                This is one of my hand dyed wool, spun with all kinds goodies... Man I love spinning, so relaxing and always some good doll hair! Or other things...like I have this lady who buys my yarn and makes                                          them into dreads. I like her kinda thinking..

                       If you don't know this is a Drum Carder. Somethings I get a little bored in the shop                                  and I just looked over and say my carder...and I thought to myself.. It needs something..

                           She is one of my favorites.. She lights up! Like I said, I like seeing where I can take                                                          myself.. She is too cool. I like how she turned out

                    I wanted to try stamping with spoons. I liked how they turned out but my thumbs and others                                 who...tired to help..their fingers too.. lol I don't know about these guys

 

This was really fun. Here is Harley My little cousin. She is 15 and as you can tell isn't to tall. She has turners. She is only 4'9. Her clothes shopping is hard to do because most of everything was to tight or way to big. SO I told her come to the barn and we will have so fun. I showed her how to so shape, cut, iron, trim, the whole 9 yards.. She took on like a pro and before I knew it she was doing pair of pants after pants. She is the cutest and she had so much fun and so did I.. I love you Harley!!

Spending some more time with family and friends this is my friends Jills beautiful work! She is a felting queen. She has some beautiful work from scarfs to hats to purses you name it. I love this scarf all the colors and flowers.. you rock Jill and if you are interested and want to know more, its posted on my esty page.. Go check it out!

Its that time of year!

Hello there!!

 May I start by saying Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas from my home to yours! I cant wait for all the yummy cookies and other goodies..mmm ; ) my favorite part of the holidays...

SO! I'am sad to say that I'am coming up to the very last show of the year for me : (  You should definitely come out and see me! I will have one of a kind gifts for that perfect some one. ; ) I have some new items and new dolls that will be at the show also. I'm excited for this show and I'am hoping to do well! Hoping LOL. The show is in Dekalb,IL, its Saturday December 14th, at the Dekalb Winters Farmer's Market. The address is 158 N. Fourth St Dekalb, IL 60115 from 9am to 3pm. It would be great to see you all there! I'am hoping that there will be a good turn out this year.. I have my fingers crossed! OH! Also I have been doing very awesome on my Etsy Site Spilledpaint, the sales have been rocking awesome GUYS! That is definitely just to great! Thank you Thank you!! Right on! Freak Fest 2013 in Madison, WIS

    We have been planing this Madison trip since the first and all the hard work I put into the costumes was so worth it! Having everyone see their costumes and their face'es light up and then seeing them with makeup and all was even better! The complements we got was shocking and We loved it! This last weekend was a BLAST! We had so much and met some pretty great and funny people. So let me tell you about our Saturday!  First thing! It was me, my sister Sarah and her boyfriend Matt, my Bestie Duane, and my two cousins Brad and Beth! My sister, Sarah set up the hotel for us, witch she did a Very good job with! I should of took pictures but go figure once again I didn't think about it. We stayed at the Hyatt hotel, it was a great and very clean place, the room was cute and comfy with super soft beds! We ran into some already costumed up college boys who were all ready having a good time, That were just full of it and fun to catch a elevator with! So already we knew that this was going to be one heck of a night!

The show didn't start till around 730 and after getting dressed and some makeup, we got out the door around 830..ish.. As soon as we stepped out the door costumes were everywhere! and we weren't even in the show area either. When we got to the gates there wasn't to many people in line, but one of the things that were a bummer and what I thought was lame was you couldn't have any thing not attached to you. not even a foam sword or of course the kings head I made. We lost Sarah's sword but my best friend Mr. Duane got it to stick in my shirt so it "WAS" attached to my costume. I thought it was kinda funny but I mean I can understand why they want to do that.


  The first thing we did was of course hit the bars! At first some of the bars weren't to packed.."yet" lol, they had a bunch of different deals with shots and drinks, we were all..right on! We knew it was going to be a good night!!Just walking in, we were catching eyes. I think we had a lease!! 30 pictures taken of us with different people, They just loved our outfits. Made me feel really good and of course everyone else too. We were loving every minute of it, it was too great. There were a ton of awesome and amazing costumes though! We saw a really awesome jelly fish, Couple of cool zombies and a really beautiful sugar skull with a wedding dress. Just loved how she put it together. There were some jail birds that I just had to take pictures with and some Lego guys their group idea was prefect! And that to some to name off. We had a blast and got a lot of drinks in us and had just to fun of a night, plus just being around drunk people made the night some of them were uh...yeahh lol they were diffidently  having a good time too.

Now before I get to the Pictures! I want to thank the boys for being so willing (Mainly Matt) for wearing makeup and going with whatever us ladys wanted to do to your face'es...(in a only makeup kinda way..to the ones with dirty minds..yeah..you know who you r..lol) You guys were troopers!

Update! Some fun we are having in the shop

        Well nice to see you guys again.. or more like nice to write to you again! lol .The last project that we have working on is some pipe cleaner fairy's. They are fun to make...if you  don't mind your fingers getting burned from the hot glue! And getting glitter literary all over the place! lol If your not sure what I'am talking about, they are pipe cleaners and porcelain doll heads, and arms. The pipe cleaners get sized and hot glued into the head and arms. Then we use fabric, flowers and well what ever you want.. We like using a lot of glitter.. No fairy is complete without glitter!You will have glitter on you and everywhere else for a day or week lol. But seeing how it does get every, having a glitter throwing party is always fun too.. Specially on men cause its like magical! lol

     I wish that I would of thought about it and took some pictures. But of course I didn't. That blows right. My mind, well its always thinking and on the go. Some times it forgets..many things lol.. I do have a next show where they will be at so you can get a better look if you would like to see them and all my other goodies too!! This show is at St.Anthony's Craft Fair! Its on November 15, in Rockford, IL.

This weekend we are going to have a blast!! There is 6 of us going to the Freak Fest, in Madison, WIS! Its this Saturday and I cant wait! We have a Mad hatter, Queen of hearts, Alice, and of course Mr. Rabbit of course! Then you have my sister and her ugh girlfriend? lol just kidding my sister and her boyfriend are going as Rapunzel and her night.. the twist is My sister is the night and Mr.boyfriend is going as Rapunzel lol! We are going to have a blast and I know we will for sure!! I'am so glad that the boys are letting us torching them lol.. I will post the site for Freak Fest down below! Oregon Autumn Parade

   
         This is totally latest blog in history! I'am so sorry guys :( But let me tell you how it went and oh man, you will see who was in my tent!! Oregon, was a totally a great show. The people were very nice, There was so many people there I couldnt belive it  I mean shoulder to shoulder packed. Saturday was great weather.  And right now I'am really thinking about added some new stuff to may shows.We had sweaters and T-shirts Sold like crazy!! We had about 16 of them ,and by Sunday we had 2 or 3! So differently something that I'am going to keep making!

Sunday was a rainy day ,but it only rained every now and then. But it kinda worked for us.It was a little cold but, not to bad...when you were drinking coffee and eating a hot mean. The tent has sides so we kept dry. I was lucky because I got right in front of the parade . It was a great to see everthing in the parade.. They had this awesome shows, these guys from Chicago..their show was amazing! You could hear them coming, this beat pop music playing. I never heard that in a parade before  And when we could see them. I was freaking fanstic!! It was a drill team!! The boys in front were spinning thir guns, and throwing them in the air. It was so awesome to see. Then they all were moving it and dancing! They have some killer skills! Then before you knew it, there are some kids coming next to this tumbling sign van. When they were in front of us the van stopped and you see these guys run and flip right on top of the fan, the another one..and 5 more! I was just to to awesome. I was like..Right on man!! And even though the rain was pouring.. so many people stayed there, I thought that was just awesome and now I know why they stayyed!

Well... now you ask who was in my tent you...I was star struck when I saw... Louise, from the show "Get out a live" . Her dad and her won on the show! I didn't notice any thing and then it clicked... That made my day... The best thing was she bought a necklace from me >.< Right on!!! Too cool.It was a fun show and I will be back there next year for sure!!
